On the plus side, it is way less expensive (to the tune of about 50K), bigger, has a huge garage and a treehouse!
On the minus side, it needs a lot more work and Matt will now have to commute. But we are looking forward to rolling up our sleeves and starting a new project. Now all we need to do is get our current life in order.
Here's a list of pre-move to do's:
- Go through and get rid of stuff
- Clothes
- Books
- All that stuff in the basement (what is even down there? I'm really not sure)
- Documents and legal stuff
- Pack the stuff we don't get rid of
- Refinish the table in the front room
- Refinish/repaint bedroom furniture
- Eat only food we currently have so we don't have to move it (we'll still buy produce, of course)
- Keep an eye out for things we need for the new place
- New mattress for guests
- Flooring for the upstairs
- New appliances
- Tools and yard supplies
