Everyone gave me a hard time because the new wall color is just slightly darker than the original wall color, but regardless, it needed to be painted. I'm pretty sure it hadn't been touched in about 10 years. The ceiling took two coats(!!), which Matt was not excited about, but it looks awesome now. We still need to put another coat on the walls, but it was pretty amazing to paint with a color other than white.
Still to do:
- Second coat on walls
- Paint radiators
- Paint trim
- Paint cabinets
- Paint cabinet doors
- Put cabinet doors back up
- Get new doors/paint doors we are keeping
- Paint backsplash
I'm loving that the ceiling and walls aren't the same color anymore, and even though its close to the same shade, I think the new, richer wall color makes it cherrier in there.
